Can the turbine connect directly to a 12 volt battery?
Yes, you can connect the power cable of the wind turbines directly to a 12 volt deep cycle battery. You do not need a charge controller but we do recommend using one while using multiple turbines. A charge controller will help to optimize the power production. We have had success with the (Flexcharge Controller NC25A-12).

Do I need a diode?
No, our wind turbines are equipped with a blocking diode. The blocking diode acts as a one-way valve to prevent the wind turbine from draining the battery.

How many amps will each wind turbine produce?
Up to 1.6 amps

What makes these unique compared to other wind turbines?
With other turbines you need a tower. Towers work great but it’s nice to have the option to quickly install on existing structures with a few screws. Experiment at different locations to see where the wind is strongest. Most other wind turbines are much larger and the spinning blades are a hazard. Our wind turbine systems are super compact and highly portable. Our blades are small and light weight which makes them safe from up close testing.

What can I power with these wind turbines?
The great thing about charging 12 volt batteries is you can power anything with a 12 volt plug. Say you’re your camping and there’s a bunch of wind. Set one up at camp to help power 12 volt fans, air pumps, lights, personal electronics and toys of all kinds.
